New LSUCCC Administrator Named

BATON ROUGE- State Fire Marshal Chief Bryan J Adams is proud to announce that he has chosen the next Administrator for the Louisiana Uniform Construction Code Council (LSUCCC).

"Chief Edwards brings a wealth of experience and a rich history in code enforcement to this role," said Adams, "He has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership as a supervisor within our agency for many years. I have full confidence in his ability to guide us toward a brighter and more successful future.""

"I am honored to be given this opportunity and look forward to working with all of the code officials and other professionals across the state so, together, we can continue to make a positive impact on the state's construction code," said Edwards.

The LSUCCC is the regulating body of the statewide construction codes for new construction, reconstruction, and additions to homes previously built to the International Residential Code as well as the performance standards expected of those conducting building activities across Louisiana. The council also provides training and education for code officials who enforce the codes across the state as well as establishes and maintains the requirements and processes for the certification and continuing education of code enforcement officers, code enforcement inspectors, third-party providers and building officials.
